Mares

"Our mares, perpetuating the legacy.

From the Desert they came, a symbol of Arabian excellence.

Good fortune is in the pure clear Black" (The Prophet Mohammed ).

This page is in memory of our great foundation mare........

  AHSB vol. XIII

Of the Kehaileh Rodanieh strain

To know her was to admire her, and many did. Flashy carried herself with a timeless elegance and exuded charisma. She had what great mares are made of, character, the sort that only comes forth from the finest Arabian blood, it’s strains and thousands of years of heritage. Although she has been gone several years now Flashy left her mark in what we do today, she taught us a lot.

Shah Flash it was a privilege to know you, an honour to love you.

(IN MEMORANDUM)

Flashy - ‘the queen of our hearts‘.

Of the Kehaileh Rodanieh strain

Ka’ba certainly bears the strong stamp of her father though her movement and character has descended from her dam. She was much sought after as a youngster due to her inky true black colour and the rarity of the blacks when she was foaled.

As a stud we had no intention of selling her as her real value lies in what she could produce in our own breeding programme, this was sadly halted for a number of years due to a situation, far beyond our control. Insh’alla there will be foals from Ka’ba in the near future.

Ka’ba - “our black to the future”

Of the Kehaileh Rodanieh strain

Nareesh is the complete reverse of her sister, dams looks and sires personality traits yet combining the movement of both. Hopefully soon we can look forward to the progeny of this exquisite mare. Her first pairing will be to the fabulous Ocean Lite, seen on stallion page, this should prove a match made in Heaven as their lines meld very well together.

Nareesh - “ our Onyx Queen”

Here at Al Bur-aq Arabians we deeply value the use of strains and bloodlines as champion to champion is not always the answer.

We firmly believe in regarding what lies behind the horse, knowledge of his ancestry is vital. After all this practice, the way of the Bedouin, is what safeguarded the survival of the Arabian for all of us enthusiasts today.
